Star & Crescent Moon

This symbol has become synonymous with the religion of Islam.

Starlight is the light of its own substance, while moonlight is the reflected light of starlight (sunlight).

The light of the star is like the light of God, while the light of the moon is like the light of a prophet or messenger.

This is inseparable from the allegorical two sentences of syahadah.
